Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Trade Counter & Warehouse Operative to join our growing team within the composites distribution industry. Key Responsibilities
● Serve trade and retail customers at the trade counter, offering product advice and excellent customer service.
● Process customer orders, quotations, invoices, and payments using computerised systems.
● Maintain accurate stock records and support inventory management.
● Safely load and unload vehicles using a forklift.
● Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for collection and delivery.
● Receive and check incoming deliveries.
● Work closely with warehouse, sales, and logistics teams to ensure efficient operations.
● Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping.
About You
● Previous experience in a trade counter or builders’ merchant, industrial supplies, or distribution environment.
● Strong IT skills with experience using stock control and order processing systems.
● Valid counterbalance forklift licence.
● Excellent communication and customer service skills.
● Organised, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
● A positive attitude and commitment to supporting a collaborative workplace culture.
