We are looking for a reliable, capable Chef/Cook to join us as we take over and relaunch the bistro.
This is a hands-on role in a small kitchen serving a straightforward, well-executed menu focused on quality ingredients rather than complexity. We are building something consistent, efficient, and enjoyable to work in.
Working Hours & Service
- Breakfast service: 8:30am – 10:30am
- Sunday Roasts: 12:00pm – 2:00pm
- Evening service: 5:00pm – 8:30pm
- Prep time required between services and ahead of shifts
Shifts will typically cover split service days, with time in between for prep, stock management, and kitchen organisation.
The Role
- Run day-to-day kitchen service across breakfast, lunch (Sunday), and evening sittings
- Prepare and deliver a our simple, consistent menu to a high standard
- Manage prep efficiently to support split service
- Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and kitchen organisation
- Work independently during service in a small kitchen environment
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a chef or strong cook role
- Ability to work solo and stay organised under pressure
- Good understanding of timing, prep, and service flow
- Someone practical, reliable, and takes pride in consistency
- A “no ego” approach – this is about solid food done well

Important to Know
This is not a fine dining kitchen. The menu is intentionally simple and needs to be executed consistently and efficiently. We are focused on good food, done properly, with strong cost control and minimal waste.
