ROLE: Electrical Maintenance Operative
HOURS: 40 hours per week
LOCATION: HMP Millsike, North Yorkshire

We're looking for an Electrical Maintenance Operative to deliver planned and reactive maintenance services at HMP Millsike, a modern custodial facility focused on rehabilitation, safety, and positive outcomes.
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver planned and reactive electrical maintenance in line with BS 7671 and site standards.
Maintain compliance with health & safety, SHE, and statutory regulations at all times.
Complete maintenance documentation accurately, updating systems and records as required.
Communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and management to resolve issues.
Required Qualifications:
18th Edition (BS 7671) qualification or Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification (or equivalent).
Proven experience providing electrical maintenance services in a large, complex environment.
Practical knowledge of building services systems including power distribution, fire, security, HVAC, and public health.

Additional Requirements (Security & Vetting):
Right to Work in the UK with valid, in‑date documentation.
Continuous UK residency for the past 3 years, with limited overseas travel.
Successful completion of Enhanced DBS, 5‑year referencing, and CTC vetting.
