Freelance Cabling Technician
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Freelance Cabling Technician to carry out the installation, routing, and termination of Cat6 cabling for commercial and residential projects. The role involves installing structured cabling systems, terminating and testing network cables, labelling connections, and ensuring all work is completed to a high professional standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and route Cat6 network cabling
- Terminate and test data cables and patch panels
- Installation of Wireless Equipment, such as Access Points and Refuge Systems
- Installation of Switches, Firewalls and other networked devices
- Troubleshoot and resolve cabling faults
- Ensure neat cable management and accurate labelling
- Work independently or alongside project teams on-site
- Follow health & safety procedures at all times
Requirements:
- Previous experience with structured cabling installations
- Competent in Cat6 termination and testing
- Own tools and transport preferred
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexibly across different sites and projects
Pay: £150.00-£200.00 per day
