1 King’s Dental is looking for a friendly, professional and organised Dental Nurse / Receptionist to join our growing team in Soho, Central London.
Applicants must either:
- Be a GDC-registered Dental Nurse, or
- Be a Trainee Dental Nurse currently enrolled on, or eligible to undertake, a recognised dental nursing programme leading to GDC registration.
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will support our clinical team in delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining excellent clinical standards. This role is ideal for someone who has experience in dentistry or a healthcare environment and is looking to progress into dental nursing with full training and support.
Duties
- Welcome patients warmly and help ensure they feel comfortable before, during, and after appointments
- Assist dentists and hygienists during procedures, including preparation and sterilisation of instruments
- Set up treatment rooms and maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection control
- Support with patient notes, record-keeping, and ensuring confidentiality at all times
- Manage patient flow throughout the clinic to ensure smooth daily operations
- Handle patient enquiries with professionalism, compassion, and clear communication
- Provide chairside assistance, including passing instruments, suctioning, and preparing materials (training provided)
- Support patients with questions regarding treatments or aftercare
- Uphold high standards of patient care, safety, and organisation in all daily activities
Skills & Requirements
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy clinical environment
- A caring, compassionate, and patient-focused attitude
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Basic IT proficiency for record-keeping and patient management systems
- Experience in dentistry or healthcare is essential
- Willingness to undertake all required dental nurse training and qualifications
