We are a specialist furniture, art installation, transport, removals, and storage company based in Chessington, serving clients across London and the UK. We work alongside interior designers, artists, collectors, galleries, and both commercial and private clients. We are looking for an experienced and adaptable Furniture Installer & Driver to join our team.
We can offer a flexible schedule, part-time or full-time role is available.
Role Overview:
As a Furniture Installer & Driver, you will play a pivotal role in the careful handling, transportation, and installation of a variety of valuable items, including artwork, antiques, furniture, and ceramics. You will be responsible for driving and maintaining vehicles, ensuring the safe and secure delivery of goods. A keen eye for detail and an understanding of the special care required when working with delicate items is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely handle and transport a wide range of delicate items such as artwork, antiques, furniture, ceramics, and glassware.
- Install furniture in both commercial and private spaces, ensuring they are displayed securely and to the highest standards.
- Assemble flat-pack furniture for clients.
- Drive and maintain a Sprinter van, ensuring safe and efficient transport of goods.
- Perform removals, including packing, handling, and transportation safely.
- Use of power tools for installations, adjustments, and furniture assembly.
- Manage client expectations with professionalism and ensure excellent customer service throughout the process.
- Take a proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Stay organized and manage a busy schedule effectively.
- Work independently and collaboratively within a small, close-knit team.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in furniture installation.
- Full UK driving licence with driving experience, ideally in and around London.
- Familiarity with power tools and the ability to handle both delicate and heavy items safely.
- Flexible with working hours, with the option for either part-time or full-time employment.
- Ability to easily commute to Chessington South.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
