Join our dynamic team as a Self Employed Courier, where you’ll be the vital link connecting businesses and customers through timely and reliable delivery services. This role offers flexibility, independent working ensuring packages reach their destinations efficiently. Following a set schedule throughout the day to ensure parcels are delivered on time.
Delivering and collecting parcels on a set route within the FY8/FY4 Area of the Fylde Coast.
Monday to Friday 6:30am - 4pm /8am - 5:30pm are set hours of working. Bonuses for extra days and Christmas Bonuses will be available.
Once up to speed and competent, will be given the same post codes to do on a regular basis so that routes can be learnt and become familiar with the areas.
Duties
- Safely operate van or commercial vehicle to deliver parcels across designated routes
- Handle packages with care, including heavy lifting when necessary, to prevent damage.
- Loading LWB van each morning, being organised and making sure parcels are numbered and in correct place in the van.
- Communicate clearly with clients and dispatch teams to confirm delivery details and resolve issues promptly
- Use Specially designed app to ensure parcels are delivered correctly and processes are followed.
- Ensure compliance with traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to keep your vehicle in optimal condition
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of navigation and route planning
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving vans or commercial vehicles preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with package handling
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding logistics operations
- Knowledge of traffic laws and safety procedures for commercial driving
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently
