Active Staff are pleased to be representing a well-established Engineering company who are on the lookout for a Quality Inspector. The successful candidate will inspect PCBs, cables and electro-mechanical assemblies, ensuring products meet drawing, specification and quality requirements.
The working hours are Monday to Thursday 8am - 4:45pm and Friday 8am - 3:45pm

Role of the Quality Inspector:
- Inspect PCBs, cables and electro-mechanical assemblies from subcontractors and in-house production.
- Carry out patrol inspections across assembly and test areas, maintaining high workmanship standards.
- Identify and report component, drawing and quality issues.
- Check accompanying paperwork and required certification.
- Record inspection results and manage rejects using Syspro ERP.
- Prepare and circulate reject notes where required.
- Authorise products as "fit for despatch", completing required physical inspections and documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across productivity, efficiency and product quality.
Experience of the Quality Inspector:
- Previous experience in an engineering or electronics manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of PCB assembly, SMT and through-hole technology.
- IPC-A-610 certified with practical soldering skills.
- Knowledge of ESD requirements.
- Ability to interpret drawings and technical documentation.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
- Able to accurately complete documentation and inspection records.
- Proactive in identifying issues and supporting continuous improvement.
Pay: Up to £37,000.00 per year
