About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised, proactive Assistant to support the Director of Golf in delivering a modern, high‑performing, and member‑focused golf operation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured work, takes pride in accuracy, and is comfortable handling routine tasks with independence and initiative. You will support the Director of Golf’s leadership of 40+ staff across multiple departments, ensuring smooth administration, compliance, and communication.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Office Support
- First point of contact for calls and routine enquiries
- Maintain organised electronic filing systems
- Prepare and update spreadsheets
- Produce routine reports and summaries
- Draft letters, forms, templates, and notices
- Manage diaries, meeting prep, and follow‑up
HR Administration
- Staff file management
- Drafting contracts using templates
- Preparing onboarding and training packs
- Recruitment admin and interview scheduling
- Tracking probation periods and mandatory training and staff reviews.
- Maintaining compliance documentation.
Health & Safety Administration
- Maintain H&S logs, checklists, and compliance records
- Schedule and document audits and inspections
- Track training and certification renewals
- Support incident reporting and follow‑up actions
Operational Support
- Liaise with agencies for temporary staff
- Update stock sheets and operational documents
- Support event administration and member communications
- Assist department heads and team with routine admin tasks
Membership Administration
· Assist the team with processing membership applications, renewals, suspensions, and cancellations
- Maintain accurate membership records and databases
- Prepare membership correspondence (renewal notices, confirmations, updates)
- Handle routine membership enquiries and escalate only complex cases
- Track membership categories, changes, and compliance with club rules
- Support the Director of Golf with membership reporting and data extracts
- Assist with corporate membership administration
- Prepare member lists for events, competitions, and communications
About You
- Strong administrative experience
- Excellent organisational skills
- High attention to detail
- Confident with spreadsheets
- Comfortable with H&S documentation
- Proactive and self‑motivated
- Happy with routine or repetitive tasks
- Discreet and professional
Pay: £27,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
