The Role
We are looking for an experienced Bar Manager to work alongside our current management team and help lead the bar operation day-to-day. This is a hands-on role suited to someone passionate about craft beer, cocktails, and running an efficient, high-quality bar.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining standards, supporting the team, and helping drive the venue forward.
Key Responsibilities
Bar Operations & Leadership
- Support the management team in the daily running of the bar
- Lead shifts and set the standard for service and professionalism
- Train, mentor, and motivate bar staff
- Ensure smooth service during busy periods
Drinks Quality & Development
- Oversee and maintain a strong craft beer offering
- Ensure consistent, high-quality cocktail execution
- Contribute to drinks menus, specials, and seasonal changes
- Maintain product knowledge across beers, spirits, wine, and coffee
Cellar Management
- Take responsibility for cellar management, including line cleaning, stock rotation, and quality control
- Monitor keg stock, storage conditions, and gas systems
- Assist with ordering and stock control to minimise waste
Standards, Compliance & Admin
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health & safety, and food hygiene
- Support stock takes, cash handling, and opening/closing procedures
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and presentation across all bar areas
About You
- Proven experience as a Bar Manager or senior bar leader
- Strong knowledge of craft beer, cocktails, and bar operations
- Solid experience with cellar management
- Confident leader with excellent communication skills
- Organised, reliable, and hands-on in approach
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
Preferred (but not essential)
- Personal Licence
- Experience in independent or craft-led venues
- Passion for developing teams and drinks programs
