Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Yard Hand to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with general yard maintenance, ensuring the safety and organisation of the outdoor work area. Duties
- Assisting with the organisation and upkeep of the yard, including loading and unloading materials.
- Operating Plant Machinery and Forklifts, subject to certification and training.
- Performing basic janitorial tasks to keep the yard tidy and free of hazards.
- Supporting with general maintenance tasks around the site to ensure safety standards are met.
- Providing excellent customer service by assisting visitors or clients when required.
- Ensuring all equipment is used safely and correctly, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Helping with deliveries and collections as needed, ensuring timely and accurate handling of goods.
Skills
- Valid driving licence with experience in operating relevant vehicles is essential.
- Previous janitorial experience is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is important.
- Strong customer service skills to assist visitors professionally and courteously.
- Organised with good attention to detail to maintain a clean and safe yard environment.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Reliable team player with good communication skills and a proactive attitude towards safety and organisation.
