Job Summary
We are seeking a driven and ambitious Internal Sales Executive / Business Development Executive to join our growing team in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional looking to develop a long-term career within a technical industrial business. Initially, this role will focus on inside sales activities, generating and converting sales opportunities, managing customer enquiries, and supporting the growth of existing accounts through telephone, email and CRM-based engagement. As your product knowledge, commercial understanding and performance develop, the position will naturally progress into an external field sales role, involving customer visits, account management and new business development
Responsibilities
· Manage inbound enquiries and proactively generate new sales opportunities.
· Prepare, follow up and convert quotations into orders.
· Process sales and maintain accurate CRM and pipeline records.
· Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
· Grow existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling.
· Drive repeat business through regular follow-ups.
· Identify and qualify new prospects in target markets.
· Support lead generation campaigns and nurture opportunities.
· Act as key point of contact for customer enquiries.
· Resolve issues promptly and deliver excellent service.
· Work closely with internal teams to fulfil customer needs.
· Provide updates on sales activity and performance.
What We're Looking For...
- Previous experience in an internal sales, business development, customer service or sales support role.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive and results-driven approach.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence speaking with customers over the phone and via email.
