Job Summary
Only 4 days a week, Thursday - Sunday (44 hours a week)
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, culinary expertise, and a commitment to hospitality.
Duties
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor kitchen performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain all EHO paperwork to keep our 5* hygiene rating
- Manage stock levels and place weekly orders with our suppliers and manage deliveries
Skills
- Proven experience as a cook or chef in a restaurant setting with a strong understanding of culinary techniques.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
- Strong leadership qualities that inspire creativity and collaboration within the kitchen.
- In-depth knowledge of food production processes and kitchen operations.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding customer experiences.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances while maintaining high standards of quality.
