Celtic Tuning is one of the UK's leading vehicle tuning companies, with a worldwide dealer network spanning more than 35 countries. We're looking for a Mobile Tuning Technician to join the team at our head office in Newquay, Cornwall.
This is a genuinely varied role – no two days are the same. Around one week in every three you'll be on the road, tuning customer vehicles at their location across the South of England, with all travel and accommodation paid. The rest of your time is spent at our Newquay HQ, where you'll be involved in every side of the business: strapping cars onto the dyno and logging parameters alongside our development team, supporting our worldwide dealer network, and providing quotations and technical support to customers by phone and email.
You'll be trained to a high standard on our professional ECU tuning and diagnostic equipment by a team with decades of combined experience in the industry.
What the Job Involves
- Tuning customer vehicles on location using professional ECU tools (full training given)
- Travelling one week in every three – all expenses and accommodation paid
- Dyno operation and data logging in support of our development team
- Providing technical support and advice to our worldwide dealer network
- Preparing quotations and supporting customers by phone and email
- Working as part of the HQ team in Newquay when not on the road
What We're Looking For
- A genuine passion for cars and the drive to build a career in the tuning industry
- Hands-on experience with vehicles – whether professional or from working on your own cars
- Strong attention to detail and pride in working to a high standard
- Confident communicating with customers and dealers by phone and email
- Comfortable working independently when travelling
- A full UK driving licence (essential)
Formal mechanical qualifications are not required – we provide comprehensive training on all our tools and systems. Many of our most successful team members started as dedicated enthusiasts. What matters most is aptitude, enthusiasm, and the right attitude.
