About the Role
A well‑established, reputable property business in Newark is looking for a confident and proactive Lettings Negotiator / Property Manager to join their growing team. This hybrid role blends front‑end lettings with hands‑on property management — perfect for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and building strong relationships with landlords and tenants.
You’ll be the go‑to person for viewings, negotiations, tenancy progression, and ongoing portfolio management, ensuring a smooth experience from first enquiry to long‑term tenancy.
Key Responsibilities
- Registering applicants and matching them to suitable properties
- Conducting viewings and providing timely feedback
- Negotiating lets and progressing tenancies through to move‑in
- Managing a portfolio of properties, ensuring compliance and smooth day‑to‑day operations
- Handling maintenance requests, liaising with contractors, and keeping landlords updated
- Conducting inspections, check‑ins and check‑outs
- Ensuring all documentation, safety certificates and tenancy files are accurate and up to date
- Building strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and contractors
- Supporting the branch with new business generation and renewals
About You
- Experience in lettings, property management, or a dual-role environment
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage a varied workload
- Confident handling compliance, legislation, and tenancy processes
- Customer‑focused with a positive, solutions‑driven attitude
- Full UK driving licence
