Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Subway Sandwich Artist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing fresh sandwiches, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organised work environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills within a fast-paced, customer-focused setting. Prior experience in food preparation or restaurant environments is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, good time management skills, and a positive attitude.
Duties
- Prepare customised sandwiches and salads according to customer specifications while adhering to food safety standards
- Serve customers efficiently with a friendly and professional approach
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including counters, utensils, and equipment
- Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation throughout shifts
- Upsell additional menu items to maximise sales opportunities
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and hygiene standards
- Manage cash register operations accurately and efficiently
- Assist in opening or closing the store as required, ensuring all procedures are followed
Skills
- Experience in food preparation or restaurant service is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and measuring ingredients
- Previous kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Ability to upsell products confidently to enhance customer experience and sales performance
- Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
