Pay Rate
PAYE: £15.00 per hour
Job Responsibilities
- Provide a high-quality cleaning service across internal and external communal areas on housing estates
- Carry out general cleaning duties including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing, and litter picking
- Clean and maintain refuse chutes, bins, and bin storage areas where required
- Use cleaning equipment such as jet washers and steam cleaners for deep cleaning tasks following appropriate training
- Report repairs, defects, and health and safety concerns to the relevant team or line manager
- Maintain safe and tidy communal areas for residents and visitors
- Provide support and cover for colleagues when required
- Act as a friendly and professional point of contact for residents, responding to enquiries or directing them to the appropriate team
- Identify and report concerns relating to vulnerable residents where appropriate
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Work independently and as part of a team to deliver effective estate services
- Carry out other reasonable duties consistent with the role when required
Requirements
Must-Have Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence and ability to drive company vehicles when required
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Ability to undertake physically demanding cleaning duties
- Ability to follow health and safety procedures and safe working practices
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Standard DBS check
- Minimum of 2 years' references/work history
Nice-to-Have Requirements
- Previous experience carrying out cleaning duties
- Experience working within a small team
- Basic knowledge of health and safety requirements in a cleaning or estates environment
- Ability to use a smartphone to access emails and report repairs or health and safety issues
