Overview
We are seeking a personable and motivated Showroom Host & Trainee Kitchen and Bedroom Designer to join our dynamic team and two Showrooms in Preston.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in interior design, customer service, and sales. The successful candidate will be responsible for welcoming visitors, assisting with showroom displays, and supporting the design team in creating customised kitchen and bedroom solutions. Responsibilities
- Greet visitors warmly and provide exceptional customer service to create a welcoming showroom atmosphere
- Assist clients in exploring product options, including kitchens and bedrooms, ensuring their needs are understood and met
- Support the design process by preparing layouts using ArtiCAD software under supervision
- Engage in upselling techniques to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction
- Organise showroom displays to ensure they are clean, attractive, up-to-date, and aligned with merchandising standards
- Collaborate with the design team to prepare proposals, quotations, and visual presentations for clients
- Maintain organisational skills to manage appointments, follow-ups, and client records efficiently
- Develop knowledge of product specifications, materials, colours, and trends relevant to kitchens and bedrooms
Experience
- Basic proficiency in SketchUp; experience with CAD software is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Demonstrated organisational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience or interest in merchandising or interior design is beneficial but not mandatory
- Ability to perform basic maths calculations for measurements and quotations accurately
