Overview
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Duty Supervisor to help lead our sessions and support the smooth operation of the venue.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with customer service, hospitality, retail or leisure experience who enjoys working with people and taking responsibility during busy shifts.
You do not need a background in sport or roller skating to succeed in this role.
The Role
As Duty Supervisor, you will take responsibility for the safe and successful operation of activities and events during your shifts.
You will support staff, ensure standards are maintained, provide excellent customer service and help create a welcoming environment for customers and community groups.
You will be trusted to open and close the venue, complete operational checks and ensure activities run smoothly.

Responsibilities
Shift Leadership
- Lead activities and events during assigned shifts.
- Support and supervise part-time staff.
- Ensure tasks are completed to the required standard.
- Escalate significant issues to the Venue Lead when required.
Customer Experience
- Welcome customers and groups.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service.
- Assist with birthday parties, skating sessions and events.
- Resolve minor customer concerns and queries.
Venue Standards
- Ensure the venue remains clean, safe and well-presented.
- Complete opening and closing procedures.
- Carry out operational and safety checks.
- Ensure cleaning tasks are completed to the required standard.
Operations
- Assist with setup and pack-down of activities and events.
- Support cash handling and operational reporting processes.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

Essential Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Ability to travel to The Rink Sports Arena.

Working Pattern
This role is primarily focused on weekday evening / weekend shifts and additional cover during busy periods.
Additional hours are typically available during school holidays and peak periods.
Flexibility is important as some evening and weekend working will be required.
School holiday periods are some of our busiest and most exciting times, and additional paid hours are typically available during these periods.
