Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support with medication administration following prescribed guidelines
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Monitor and report changes in health or behaviour to relevant healthcare professionals
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Drive clients to appointments or social outings when required
- Manage behaviour effectively, especially in clients with dementia or behavioural challenges
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently, including first aid procedures when necessary
Skills
- Prior experience in home care is advantageous, however all skills level welcome as training will be provided.
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards vulnerable individuals
- Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s care, hospice care, and senior care best practices
- Ability to handle medication administration accurately and responsibly
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Competent in meal preparation tailored to individual dietary restrictions
