The Role
As a Team Leader, you will lead by example, providing high-quality care and support whilst overseeing the day-to-day delivery of services within the home. You will support and mentor care staff, promote best practice, and work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, residents, and families to ensure outstanding outcomes.
You will play a key role in creating a positive, comfortable environment that promotes independence, dignity and choice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise care and support staff during shifts.
- Deliver person-centred care support in line with individual care plans.
- Promote independence, and meaningful engagement in daily activities.
- Support individuals with conditions, mental health needs, and complex behaviours.
- Ensure safe administration and management of medication.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing.
- Contribute to risk assessments, care planning, and rehabilitation goal setting.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to less experienced team members.
- Ensure compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding requirements, and organisational policies.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, social workers, and external professionals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and electronic care records.

About You
We are looking for a caring, motivated, and professional individual who shares our commitment to delivering outstanding care and outcomes.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 1* years' experience* in a senior care position or team leader role (desirable)
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) or working towards.
- Experience supporting individuals with complex care needs.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong understanding of person-centred care and positive risk management.
- Passion for promoting independence, dignity, choice, and recovery.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
- Experience of supervising and developing staff teams.
