Bartender & BaristaSUMMARY
Alberto’s Farmhouse is the newest addition to Kip & Nook. A boutique hotel with luxury cabins and pitches. A lifestyle destination set across 250 acres of stunning North Yorkshire countryside, just 10 minutes from Darlington. Italian-inspired, farmhouse-rooted, and serving brunch and dinner seven days a week, Alberto’s welcomes both hotel guests and local visitors looking for exceptional food, drinks, and hospitality.
Alongside Alberto’s, you'll also work within The Workshop. This is our unique bar and social hub at the heart of the Kip & Nook site. Think classic cars, motorbikes, a roaring log burner, pool table, craft beer, expertly made cocktails, and specialty coffee served throughout the day.
We're looking for an experienced, passionate Bartender & Barista who can confidently deliver both exceptional cocktails and high-quality coffee while creating memorable guest experiences. THE ROLE
- Preparing and serving a range of classic and signature cocktails to a high standard
- Making specialty coffees and hot drinks using espresso-based equipment
- Providing outstanding customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests
- Maintaining excellent knowledge of our drinks menu and making recommendations to guests
- Supporting food service where required and working closely with the wider front-of-house team
- Ensuring bar and coffee station cleanliness, organisation, and presentation at all times
- Handling payments and operating the till system accurately
- Supporting Kip & Nook hotel guests with enquiries when required
- Contributing to the positive culture and guest experience across Alberto's Farmhouse and The Workshop
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous experience as a bartender in a busy hospitality environment
- Proven cocktail-making experience and confidence preparing a variety of classic cocktails
- Previous barista experience with the ability to produce consistently high-quality coffees
- A genuine passion for hospitality, food, and drink
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
- Ability to remain calm and professional during busy service periods
- Flexibility to work across daytime, evenings, and weekends
SCHEDULE
- 20-30 hours per week (depending on availability and experience)
- Day, evening, and weekend shifts
- Flexible rota with a mixture of coffee, restaurant, and bar service shifts

PAY
- £10.85 - £12.71 - depending on age and experience
