Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic People Business Partner to join our organisation on a 12 month Maternity Cover basis.
Working alongside an experienced People Team, this role is integral to aligning People initiatives with business objectives, fostering organisational development, and enhancing employee engagement. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a values led ethos. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence organisational culture and drive HR excellence across various departments. It is suitable for either an experienced generalist or a candidate looking for their first People Business Partner role.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support business goals.
- Provide expert guidance on human resources policies, procedures, and best practices to managers and employees.
- Facilitate talent acquisition activities by leveraging data analysis skills to improve recruitment strategies and utilisation of ATS tools.
- Support organisational change initiatives through effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Monitor employee engagement metrics and develop programmes to enhance workplace culture.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies through diligent record-keeping and reporting.
Experience
- Proven experience as a People generalist within a fast-paced environment
- Experience of managing Sickness/Absence, Employee Relations cases and Engagement strategies.
- Hands-on experience working with People data.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and talent management tools.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities whilst maintaining attention to detail.

- This role is based in our Basildon Hospice but with travel to our Thurrock Hospice as needed therefore you must be a driver with access to a vehicle
Pay: £30,057.13-£38,988.99 per year
