Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Baby Room Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their early development and learning. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills while working closely with children and their families. A background in early childhood education and nursery experience is essential, along with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
- Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and organised activities to ensure their safety at all times
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages children to explore and learn independently
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support each child's individual needs
- Ensure the nursery complies with all health and safety regulations and policies
- Lead by example in demonstrating excellent childcare practices and behaviours
- Assist with organising nursery events and outings
- Manage daily administrative tasks related to child attendance and activity planning
Experience
- Previous experience working with children 0-2 yrs within a nursery setting is essential
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Experience working with children, demonstrating patience and adaptability
Qualification
- Must hold a relevant childcare qualification equivalent to an NVQ Level 3 or higher
Hours of Work
- Shifts will be between the hours of 7.00am - 6.00pm Monday to Friday
- Part time or Full time available (minimum of 2 days per week)
