We are seeking a skilled and motivated Joiner/Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of structures and fixtures using a wide range of hand tools and power tools. Your expertise in carpentry and joinery will contribute to delivering high-quality craftsmanship on diverse projects, from residential to commercial buildings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills will directly impact the success of our projects.
Duties
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood, metal, and other materials with precision using hand tools and power tools
- Fabricate custom components and joinery elements according to project specifications
- Construct frameworks for roofing, flooring, walls, and other structural elements
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to ensure efficient workflow
- Assist with construction painting, masonry work, plumbing installations, and electrical tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite by managing tools and materials efficiently
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations
Requirements
- Gold CSCS Card (essential).
- Proficiency in fabrication, assembly, and use of hand tools and power tools
- Knowledge of roofing techniques, masonry work, plumbing systems, electrical experience is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively in various weather conditions
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and practices
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and work on elevated surfaces for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering quality work.
- Full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
