Heslfo Installations Limited is seeking an experienced and reliable Air Conditioning Maintenance Technician to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs across a range of air conditioning and HVAC systems at customer sites. The role requires good knowledge of air conditioning systems and a commitment to delivering a high standard of service while working safely and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and routine servicing of air conditioning and HVAC equipment.
- Inspect equipment to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate remedial works.
- Maintain and service a range of systems, including split, multi-split, VRV/VRF and other commercial air conditioning equipment.
- Check system performance, temperatures, electrical components and controls.
- Identify replacement parts and materials required to complete repairs and maintenance.
- Complete maintenance reports, service sheets and other required documentation accurately and promptly.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding work completed, faults identified and any recommended remedial work.
- Ensure equipment and work areas are left clean, safe and operational following maintenance activities.
- Work independently to manage allocated jobs efficiently and meet customer appointments and service schedules.
- Liaise with colleagues, supervisors and other contractors when required.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Ensure work complies with relevant legislation, industry standards and manufacturer requirements.
- Participate in emergency or call-out arrangements where required.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Previous experience working as an Air Conditioning Engineer, Maintenance Technician or similar HVAC role.
- Experience servicing and maintaining commercial air conditioning systems.
- Good understanding of refrigeration and air conditioning principles.
- Ability to read and understand technical information and manufacturer instructions.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements when working on customer sites.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent.
- Experience working with VRV/VRF systems.
- Manufacturer-specific training or qualifications.
- Experience within commercial, industrial or facilities-management environments.
- Additional HVAC, refrigeration or electrical qualifications.
- FGas qualified

Working Conditions
This is a field-based role involving travel to customer sites. The position may involve working at height, working in plant rooms and other restricted areas, manual handling and working both indoors and outdoors.
Pay: £20,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
