Position Overview
As Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in the daily operations of the restaurant. From leading service with precision and warmth to supporting staff development and business performance, you’ll be the heartbeat of the floor. Working closely with the GM, you'll help ensure a smooth and joyful guest experience while contributing to operational efficiency and culture-building.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Support, train, and inspire front-of-house staff to perform at their best
- Guest Experience: Ensure every guest receives attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable service
- Daily Operations: Assist with scheduling, shift planning, and overseeing service delivery
- Stock Management: Monitor inventory, place FOH orders, and ensure cost-effective use of resources
- Compliance: Maintain high standards in health & safety, food hygiene, and licensing regulations
- Sales & Profitability: Help manage budgets, upsell products, and hit performance targets - Collaboration: Work closely with chefs and senior managers on menu rollouts, events, and promotions
- Problem Solving: Handle guest feedback, resolve issues calmly, and maintain a positive atmosphere Qualifications / Experience
- Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or Supervisor in a busy restaurant or hospitality venue
- Strong leadership and people management skills - Exceptional communication and guest service abilities
- Confident with systems, rota planning, and stock control
- Passionate about hospitality and building great customer relationships - Organised, calm under pressure, and results-driven
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
