- School Cleaning Operative: £12.71 per hour
- School Cleaning Supervisor: £13.55 per hour

We are currently recruiting for two opportunities at Gooseacre Primary Academy:
School Cleaning Operative
- Monday & Friday: 4:30am – 7:00am
- Tuesday to Thursday: 4:30am – 7:10am
- 39 weeks per year (Term Time Only)
School Cleaning Supervisor
- Monday & Friday: 4:30am – 7:00am
- Tuesday to Thursday: 4:30am – 7:10am
- 43.8 weeks per year
All roles are subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
Job Summary

We have opportunities for both a School Cleaning Operative and a Cleaning Supervisor to help deliver high-quality cleaning services within a busy school environment.
Working as part of our Cleaning & Hygiene division, you'll help create a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors while maintaining the high standards our clients expect.

Role Overview
Reporting to the Cleaning Supervisor or Contract Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the school.
Applicants interested in the Cleaning Supervisor role will also assist with the day-to-day supervision of the cleaning team, ensuring work is completed to the required standards and supporting the Contract Manager where necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hoover classrooms, corridors and communal areas.
- Dust and wipe desks, furniture and touchpoints.
- Clean and sanitise toilets and washroom facilities.
- Mop hard floor surfaces.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of waste correctly.
- Replenish soap, paper products and other consumables.
- Use cleaning products and equipment safely in accordance with COSHH guidance.
- Report maintenance issues, damage or defective equipment.
- Follow all company policies, site procedures and Health & Safety requirements.
- Deliver high standards of cleanliness within allocated timescales.
- Represent Heb Group professionally at all times.
Additional responsibilities for the Cleaning Supervisor include:
- Supervising and supporting the on-site cleaning team.
- Carrying out quality checks to maintain cleaning standards.
- Assisting with staff training and inductions where required.
- Liaising with the Contract Manager regarding staffing, supplies and site requirements.
Personal Specification
Essential

- Good communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
Desirable
- Previous commercial cleaning experience.
- Knowledge of COSHH and safe cleaning practices.
- Experience working within a school environment.
- Previous supervisory experience (for applicants interested in the Cleaning Supervisor role).
