Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Multi Drop Delivery Driver to join our team at Maidstone DPD . The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to multiple locations within designated routes. This role requires excellent organisational skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to manage time effectively. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on punctuality and service quality.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at each destination.
- Load and unload goods, often involving heavy lifting(20kg), ensuring items are secure during transit.
- Deliver parcels or goods to multiple customers or businesses, obtaining signatures or proof of delivery as required.
- Communicate effectively with customers upon delivery, providing excellent customer service.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle, ensuring it is presentable at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within commercial driving environments.
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience with warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes.
- Strong organisational skills to plan routes effectively and manage deliveries within scheduled timeframes.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting courteously with customers and team members.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple deliveries in a busy environment.
