Typically from 7:00am, with hours and days to be agreed. This role is split between our bakery and our bed and breakfast accommodation.
We welcome applications from both full-time and part-time candidates and are happy to discuss working hours with the successful applicant.
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and organised individual to join our team in a varied role combining bakery packing and housekeeping.
The first part of each shift is based in our bakery, where you will prepare and pack freshly baked products for customers. Once bakery duties are complete, you will move to Rooms at The Apple Pie to carry out housekeeping duties, ensuring guest rooms and shared areas are cleaned and presented to a high standard.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being active, takes pride in their work, and can work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Key ResponsibilitiesBakery Packing (from 7:00am)
- Pack fresh bakery products accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Keep packing areas clean, tidy, and organised.
- Assist with general bakery duties as required.
Housekeeping
- Clean and prepare guest bedrooms to a high standard.
- Change bed linen and replace towels between guest stays.
- Clean and sanitise en-suite bathrooms.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, and maintain guest rooms and shared corridors, stairways, and entrance areas.
- Replenish guest supplies and amenities.
- Report any maintenance issues or damaged items.
- Ensure rooms are ready for arriving guests within required timescales.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in packing, food production, housekeeping, or cleaning is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to help across different areas of the business.
- Able to undertake physically active work, including standing, lifting, bending, and moving between locations.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
