The Pilchard Inn is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Food & Beverage Support Team Members to join us on a flexible zero-hour basis, supporting our busy pub, café and seasonal island events.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking for flexible shifts throughout the week, evenings, weekends and holiday periods, whilst gaining experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
About The Role
Our support team plays a key role in helping deliver exceptional guest experiences across The Pilchard Inn and café operation.
You’ll support across a variety of areas including:
- Food and drink service
- Bar support
- Clearing and resetting tables
- Guest interaction and customer service
- Seasonal BBQs and live music events
- Café support during busy summer months
- Opening and closing duties
- General cleanliness and presentation standards
No two shifts are the same, making this a varied and exciting role within a unique island environment.
About You
We’re looking for individuals who:
- Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Are confident communicating with guests
- Can work flexibly across evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Thrive in busy hospitality environments
- Previous hospitality experience is beneficial but not essential
Shift Patterns
The Pilchard Inn operates daily between 10:30am – 10:30pm, with shifts varying between 9:00am – 11:00pm depending on operational requirements and seasonal events.
Flexible availability is highly desirable, particularly throughout peak season.
Accommodation:
- Live-in accommodation is available in our subsidised staff housing, subject to availability at the time of offer.
Important to Know:
- Due to our remote island location, live-out applicants must have a car and valid driving licence.
- You must have the right to work in the UK – we are not able to offer visa sponsorship at this time.
