This role is predominantly payroll-based but with support to the wider finance time on accounts bookkeeping.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processing of high volume fortnightly payroll for over 500 team members
- Use of Time and Attendance clocking system, and liaising with team in the hotels to ensure system is being used correctly
- Calculating Holiday Pay and maintain Holiday Absence records
- Processing statutory deductions and understanding the laws and regulation of payroll
- PAYE / NICs understanding, processing and reconciliation
- SMP / SPP / SSP understanding, processing and reconciliation
- Processing CIS deductions
- Pension processing and reconciliation
- Recording joiners and leavers on system and processing of P45s
- Monitor central payroll inbox and payroll telephone for queries
- Keep employee records up-to-date
- Producing weekly reporting for key stakeholders in the business to report on Wage Cost
- Producing other weekly monthly departmental / venue reports for various stakeholders in the business
- Other ad-hoc reporting as requested
- Providing ad-hoc support to the Accounts function weekly (including routine tasks such as invoice processing or statement reconciliations but also ad-hoc tasks such as requests for information by stakeholders within the business)
ABOUT YOU
This role is suited to someone looking for a diverse role, structure in their responsibilities, but adaptable to different priorities whilst bringing your best.
You will be based at our Head Office where key functions (such as Finance, Marketing Central Reservations) operate in an open-plan office. The ideal candidate will enjoy the collaboration that this provides whilst still being able to process high volumes of information accurately in this fast-paced environment.
You will have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar payroll role.
