Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Registered Care Home Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of a vibrant care home dedicated to providing exceptional support and quality of life for residents. In this pivotal role, you will champion person-centered care, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and foster a positive environment for both residents and staff. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement, uphold high standards of safety and wellbeing, and promote a warm, welcoming community where residents feel valued and cared for.
Responsibilities
- Lead the overall management of the 17 bed care home, ensuring smooth daily operations and high-quality service delivery.
- Develop, implement, and monitor care plans tailored to each resident’s individual needs, promoting independence and dignity.
- Supervise and support staff through effective management practices, fostering a motivated, skilled, and compassionate team.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and quality standards governing adult social care.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, staff records, health & safety protocols, and regulatory audits.
- Build strong relationships with residents’ families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by assessing service quality and implementing best practices to enhance resident satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven management experience within adult social care or healthcare settings, demonstrating leadership in a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation such as CQC (Care Quality Commission) standards or equivalent regulatory bodies.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with residents, families, staff, and external partners.
- Ability to motivate teams while maintaining high standards of care and safety.
- Relevant qualifications such as Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care or equivalent are highly desirable.
- A compassionate approach combined with strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
