BEMSCA is looking for a Chinese Community Worker to help shape the Next Generation of our services. With over 30 years of community impact, we support older people across Bath & North East Somerset to stay connected, healthy and valued.
Duties
- Support Chinese elders and families
- Deliver activities, advice and outreach
- Work with health, social care and community partners
- Help reduce loneliness and promote wellbeing
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being.
- Document care activities accurately and report any concerns to senior staff.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications such as first aid certification are advantageous.
- Understanding of community engagement activities and Chinese culture is essential.
- Valid driving licence preferred for community outreach and off site meetings
- Excellent communication skills with a caring attitude towards elders of all ages,
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work shifts that may include evenings or weekends if necessary.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From £28,290.00 per year
