OCU Group is a leading provider of utility and infrastructure services, delivering high-quality engineering solutions across the UK water industry. With a strong focus on safety, innovation, and sustainability, we are committed to maintaining and enhancing the essential infrastructure that supports communities every day.
As part of our continued growth within the Water sector, we are now looking for skilled and safety-conscious Electricians to join our expanding team, supporting wastewater infrastructure and treatment projects across the UK.
As an Electrician within OCU’s Water sector, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems across wastewater treatment facilities and associated infrastructure projects.
This is a hands-on role working within live operational wastewater environments, supporting both new installations and refurbishment projects. You will carry out a range of industrial electrical works including containment systems, cabling, control panels, instrumentation, and associated electrical equipment.
Your responsibilities will include installing and maintaining cable containment systems such as tray and ladder rack, carrying out SWA cable glanding and termination, supporting control panel wiring, and assisting with electrical testing and fault finding to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
You will work from electrical drawings and technical documentation while ensuring all works are completed in line with company procedures, industry regulations, and health and safety standards. Collaboration with supervisors, engineers, and wider project teams will be an important part of the role to ensure successful project delivery.
We are looking for qualified Electricians with previous experience working within industrial, water, or wastewater environments. Experience delivering wastewater treatment projects is essential, alongside a strong understanding of industrial electrical installations and maintenance activities.
You should hold relevant electrical qualifications including 18th Edition certification, ECS or CSCS card, and Inspection & Testing qualifications. SSSTS and First Aid at Work certifications would also be beneficial.
Candidates should be confident using hand and power tools, interpreting electrical drawings, carrying out installations, and supporting testing and fault-finding activities within operational environments.
A strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork is essential for this role.
