As a Communications and Marketing Officer for Bath Assembly Rooms , you'll be supporting the delivery of our marketing and communications plan by tailoring content to appeal to our target audiences.
Salary: £22,089.60 pro rata (FTE £27,612 per annum)
Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31-Aug-2028
Hours/ working pattern: Part-time, 30 hours per week, some evening and weekend working may be required.

What it's like to work here:It’s an exciting time to join the National Trust team at Bath Assembly Rooms. This beautiful Grade 1 listed building, known for music, parties, dancing and entertainment during Bath’s Georgian heyday, will reopen in 2027 following two years of a major building project and the installation of an innovative new visitor attraction.
You’ll be joining Bath Assembly Rooms at a time when we’re building awareness with our target audiences about what’s to come. Closer to opening the team will shift into delivering a results-driven marketing campaign to drive ticket sales using a range of channels.
You’ll be reporting into the Senior Communications and Marketing Officer and be joining the Bath Assembly Rooms’ property team as they prepare to reopen the building.
Bath Assembly Rooms is part of the National Trust Bath Property Group which also includes Dyrham Park, Prior Park Landscape Garden, Bath Skyline and Bathampton Meadows.
What you'll be doing:You will always be on the lookout for a great story, something that will capture the attention and interest of our target audiences. You’ll be reading reports, attending meetings, and working alongside the project team to spot exciting opportunities to bring the project to life.
Working within a campaign plan, you’ll translate those stories into engaging content using your skills in capturing, editing, and copy writing. You’ll adapt each story to suit a variety of audiences and channels including paid media, social media, web pages, and internal and external communications. You may be asked to represent the project and the property externally, including at industry events. You’ll follow relevant image capture and storage compliance guidelines, and work within the National Trust’s brand and tone of voice guidance.
You’ll be self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working within shifting contexts and timelines. To help us meet our aims, you’ll be audience-focused with creative ideas of how to engage audiences both in the UK and internationally.
