We're building a service operation that others look up to and you'll play a central role in making that happen.
What You'll Do
As our Field Service Coordinator, you'll be responsible for ensuring our field service operation runs smoothly and efficiently. You'll be the key link between our customers, engineers, workshop team, and internal departments.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the service desk, including incoming tickets, emails, and telephone enquiries
- Allocating reactive and planned work to field engineers across the UK
- Triaging inbound technical support calls and resolving issues where possible
- Coordinating engineer schedules to maximise efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Managing parts requests and ensuring engineers have the equipment they need to complete jobs successfully
- Planning and coordinating workshop activities, including machine refurbishments and pre-delivery inspections (PDIs)
- Working closely with the Mobilisations Coordinator to schedule and deliver workshop PDIs
- Coordinating preventative maintenance programmes with the field service team
- Overseeing warranty returns and associated administration
- Keeping customers updated on engineer attendance times and service progress
- Supporting the Customer Relations Team with service reports and customer communications
- Maintaining accurate records within service management systems and ensuring service data is up to date
- Providing weekend service desk support on a rota basis, with all weekend cover undertaken remotely from home
What We're Looking ForEssential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working as a coffee machine technician, field service engineer, or within a technical service environment
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Strong customer service mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Good IT skills and confidence using service management software and Microsoft Office applications
- Positive attitude and a willingness to support colleagues and customers alike
Desirable
- Previous experience coordinating field engineers or managing service schedules
- Experience within the coffee equipment, catering equipment, beverage, or foodservice sectors
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance planning and service operations
