Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role requires excellent communication skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality childcare. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's development across all areas of learning.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support children's emotional well-being and development.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, ensuring effective communication with parents regarding their child's achievements.
- Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and conducive to learning, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Support the management team in leading and mentoring other staff members, promoting best practices in childcare.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (e.g., Level 3 Diploma or equivalent).
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
- Ability to drive may be advantageous for transporting children or attending off-site activities.
