Sales Administrator
We are looking for a highly organised, proactive, and commercially minded Sales Administrator to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who also enjoys customer interaction, building relationships, and supporting sales growth.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the sales function, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining accurate records, and helping to maximise sales opportunities through effective communication and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the sales team.
- Process sales orders accurately and efficiently.
- Manage and update customer records, databases, and sales activity information.
- Handle incoming telephone calls and email enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Build positive relationships with customers and identify opportunities to support sales growth.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, resolving queries and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Prepare quotations, sales documentation, contracts, and reports.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure products and services are delivered on time.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the warehouse team to fulfil customer requirements.
- Assist with invoicing and order processing.
- Support sales campaigns and follow up on customer enquiries where required.
- Maintain accurate filing systems and ensure all administration is completed to a high standard.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a Sales Administrator, Sales Support, Customer Service, or similar office-based role.
- Strong customer-facing and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence communicating with customers by telephone, email, and in person.
- A positive and proactive approach with a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- Ability to identify opportunities to support and enhance sales performance.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using Sage software would be advantageous.
- Experience processing invoices would be advantageous.
