Location:
At Oaktree Education Services, we operate across education, supported accommodation, and head office functions, with continued expansion taking place across the organisation.
Hour of Work:
This is a full-time, 40-hour role with full flexibility required. The role includes availability to work a rota covering weekdays, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness across Oaktree Education’s estate, comprising educational sites, residential properties and office space.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all assigned sites are clean, hygienic, safe, and presented to a high standard. The role requires someone who can work independently, manage their own time effectively, and take pride in delivering excellent results.
Key Responsibilities:
Education Cleaning:
- Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, staff rooms, and reception areas.
- Clean and sanitise toilets and washrooms.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Vacuum, mop, and maintain all flooring.
- Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, and high-touch surfaces.
- Replenish consumables such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
- Lock and secure premises where required.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or health and safety concerns.
Supported Accommodation Cleaning:
- Complete scheduled monthly deep cleans of the residential properties.
- Thoroughly clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas.
- Clean internal windows, skirting boards, doors, and light switches.
- Vacuum and shampoo carpets using professional carpet cleaning equipment where required.
- Clean upholstery and soft furnishings when scheduled.
- Ensure properties are left clean, fresh, and ready for occupants.
Head Office Cleaning:
- Clean office workspaces, meeting rooms, reception areas, kitchens, and staff welfare areas.
- Clean and sanitise desks, work surfaces, telephones, keyboards, and other high-touch points (where appropriate).
- Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors.
- Empty bins and replace liners.
- Clean kitchen appliances, worktops, sinks, and dining areas.
- Clean and sanitise toilets and replenish soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
- Dust furniture, shelving, skirting boards, and other fixtures.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or low stock of cleaning supplies.
- Ensure the office remains clean, tidy, and ready for daily business operations.
General Duties:
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with COSHH guidance.
- Maintain and care for company cleaning equipment.
- Keep cleaning supplies organised and report when stock is low.
- Travel between sites as required.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous cleaning experience (commercial and domestic preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, trustworthy and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Good communication skills.

- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- DBS Requirement: An enhanced DBS check is required for this position. This will be processed and funded by the organisation. Appointment is subject to satisfactory clearance.
