We are currently recruiting for an experienced Auto Electrician / Mechanic to join a busy workshop environment.
The role will involve vehicle maintenance, electrical installations, tachograph work and fault diagnosis, ensuring vehicles remain safe, compliant and roadworthy.

Carry out tachograph testing, calibration and installation.

Install electrical equipment including vehicle lighting, camera systems and associated equipment.

Complete routine vehicle inspections, servicing and maintenance.

Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on Euro 6 vehicles.

Carry out fault-finding on engines, air suspension and braking systems.

Maintain accurate records and ensure all work is completed to the required standards.

Follow security procedures relating to tachograph equipment and data.

Work safely in accordance with company procedures and relevant legislation.

Support the wider workshop team with general maintenance and repairs as required.
You should have:

NVQ Level 3 Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician or equivalent.

Minimum 1 year's post-apprenticeship experience in a varied vehicle maintenance environment.

Good understanding of vehicle wiring principles and electrical systems.

Experience with vehicle electrical installations and fault diagnosis.

Knowledge of Euro 6 vehicle systems desirable.

Full UK driving licence.

Good IT, communication and organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

£16-£18 per hour, depending on experience.

40-hour working week.

Overtime available.

33 days holiday including Bank Holidays
