Therapeutic Care Worker - Waking Nights
Location – Stalham, Norfolk
Contract type – Fixed Term Contract
Salary - £39,416 Pro Rata
Summary of the Role
The residential waking night role is designed for someone who has a passion for working with a child with complex needs who requires adult support throughout the night.
You will work as part of our therapeutic care team to provide a waking night service meeting the specific needs of a young person who requires 24/7 support.
The Residential waking night role will require you to work up to 7 nights in 14, on a two-week rolling Rota between 2200hrs and 0830hrs.
This role will involve some lone working, though there will initially be two staff working each night.
Key Responsibilities
- To complete all mandatory training required for the role which will be provided and paid for by Clover Childcare Services
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of young people overnight
- Respond appropriately to young people’s needs throughout the night, which may include the need for personal care
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately throughout the shift
- Escalate any concerns appropriately and maintain professional boundaries and model safe and respectful behaviour at all times.
- Promote emotional regulation and resilience through our attachment based therapeutic approach
- Adhere to all Clover Childcare Services policies, including ‘Positive Care’
- Take part in a handover with day staff at the start and end of every shift
