Part Time chef/cook vacancy at Charcoal Gallery, Hawarden.
Charcoal is a new business in the centre of Hawarden. We host regular art workshops and community events and are looking to expand our team. We are looking for someone creative who will grow with the business . It is a daytime position with competitive pay.
The Role The roles Chef is varied, challenging and fun. We obviously expect you to be able to turn out mouth-watering dishes with ease. As well as that here are some more details:
Kitchen Management
- Support the pub Management with the opening and closing of the kitchen
- Maintain accurate food ordering and stocking levels, including all kitchen material
- Manage wastage through correct product measurement and record keeping
Hygiene
- Ensure the kitchen is always clean, tidy and complies with health and hygiene requirements at all times
- Ensure all work processes are carried out safely
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is monitored and effectively maintained
General
- Maintain personal knowledge by completing in house training and external courses
- Attend and contribute to team meetings
- Adhere to all Company policies and procedures
The Person
We would prefer at least 1 year’s kitchen experience, in a fresh food environment, Calm under pressure, with excellent people skills and of course fantastic cooking ability.
