Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Practitioner to join our small friendly team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children (particularly those aged 2-4 years) and possess the necessary skills to provide exceptional care in a nurturing and structured mixed aged setting.
Hours: Term Time 9-3pm 4 days a week plus 1 hour admin.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and supervision for children in a Preschool.
- Develop and implement engaging activities that promote early childhood education and development.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and well-being.
- Ensure the safety and hygiene of the nursery environment at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for all children.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, toileting/nappies, playtime, and rest periods.
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare or nursery settings is essential.
- A strong knowledge of Safeguarding and it role in early years.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Founation Stage and child development.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Must be computer literate and knowledge of Tapestry would be desirable.
- Good at working within a small team.
