Challenge Limited is seeking a passionate, proactive and highly organised Tenancy Manager to manage a portfolio of residential properties, ensuring tenancies are handled efficiently, professionally and fully in line with company procedures and current UK legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively manage a diverse portfolio of residential tenancies, ensuring compliance with company procedures and all relevant UK legislation.
- Carry out regular property inspections, identifying tenancy issues and ensuring properties are maintained in line with tenancy agreements.
- Manage tenancy renewals, arrears, disputes and end-of-tenancy processes in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure the prompt collection of rent and actively manage arrears, working constructively with tenants to resolve payment issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date tenancy records using property management software.
- Prepare and complete court paperwork, including documentation for small claims and possession proceedings, ensuring full legal compliance.
- Produce regular reports for the wider business, including updates on portfolio performance, key issues and relevant legislative changes.
About You
- Strong working knowledge of UK property and tenancy legislation.
- Excellent written communication skills, with particular strength in formal and professional letter writing.
- Able to manage your own workload and tenancy portfolio effectively.
- Professional, proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Previous experience in property or tenancy management is highly desirable.
