Reports to: Managing Director – Network Access Products
Role Overview: The Operations Director is responsible for the end-to-end operational and safety performance across all Network Access Products (NAP) operating locations. This includes leading a team of senior individuals across all areas of Site Operations, Logistics, Asset Management and Project, capital and non-capital, within the business. This leadership position reports directly to the Managing Director, leading the operational strategy and execution in these areas, to meet growth, margin, customer service and sustainability targets for Cubis Systems & NAL. This is role is for a highly strategic leader who drives high performance and continuous improvement in each of these critical areas.
What our new ‘Operations Director - NAP’ will be doing:

Lead the highest standards of safety, quality and best in class manufacturing performance, through the day-to-day management of the Director of Site Operations and partnership with the SHEQ Director (IPE) and their teams.
- Design and implement an operations strategy and roadmap, aligned to business goals, including but not limited to safety governance, quality improvement, cost management, delivery performance, and capital investment.
- Translate business strategic goals into in-year performance, through full operational P&L ownership for annual operating plans and forecasting, budgets and measurable performance indicators in all areas of responsibility.

Act as a strategic partner to the Managing Director and IPE Senior Leadership Team, providing advice and insight on operational performance, risk and investment priorities.
- Partner with the HR & Talent Director and Managing Director to ensure appropriate succession and mentoring plans are in place for the Director of Site Operations, Head of Projects and Assets and Head of Logistics, ensuring appropriate succession plans are in place for each position, including their own role.
- Ensuring robust performance management systems are in place and continuous improvement projects are implemented in all NAP operating locations (LEAN, Six Sigma, TPM).
- Lead the Head of Assets & Projects and partner with the Finance Director (IPE) on developing and ensuring the delivery of the capital investment strategy, ensuring governance through its framework to deliver agreed return on investment commitments.
- Drive site automation plans, ensuring the Head of Assets & Projects and Director of Site Operations are engaged and strategically positioned to maximise automation projects and opportunities to improve site
- safety and efficiencies, across all Network Access Products locations, ensuring the business, and their manufacturing locations become Future Ready.
- Lead the Head of Logistics to maximise delivery performance to customers and inter-company movements, working strategically to design and deliver digitalisation programmes.
- Partner with the Commercial Director (IPE), Sales Director (NAP) and Head of Innovation (NAP) as the main point of contact for all operational projects and strategic initiatives, related to commercial activity and improvement programmes.
- Partner with the Procurement Manager to ensure robust supply chain in place and recognising opportunities to capitalise on purchasing cost benefits based on operational supply & demand.

Partner with the Sales & Operations Planning Manager to ensure successful SIOP processes are implemented and controlled at operational level, acting as the main point of contact within Operations for the duration of the project and post implementation.
- Partner with the Head of Technology to ensure appropriate operational digital tools are in place, supporting development of a data-driven, decision-making culture which improves all areas of customer experience and operational performance.
- Daily, weekly and formal monthly reporting to Senior Leadership Team, acting as a key stakeholder between operations and Senior Leadership.
- Lead operational integrations & due diligence projects during acquisitions, as required.
The experience our new ‘Operations Director - NAP’ will have includes:

Degree education in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Management or related field.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing large, complex budgets.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, project & change management skills.
- Ability to think and work strategically while willing to support hands on through operational management teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making competencies.
- Must be flexible to travel across the UK & Ireland frequently, and at times, within Europe or globally, as required.
- Senior Operations or Manufacturing leadership experience, in a multi-sited, fast-paced and diverse environment.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing strategic operational transformation in a variety of areas; safety, operational, delivery and investment performance.
- Experience in M&A and leading integrations, opening manufacturing activities, relocating or closing locations.
- Proven experience of leading senior individuals, demonstrating ability to improve individual and team performance.
- Proven experience of leading significant investment programmes, from design to implementation.
