Chef De Partie - Michelin Star - Hackney
We are currently looking for a driven and passionate CDP, with a strong knowledge of wines to join BEHIND, a Michelin starred fish-focused restaurant, situated on the edge of London Fields (Hackney).
All chefs double up as front of house in this intimate setting, with a horseshoe-shaped table seating 18 diners for lunch and dinner services. The close-knit team strive for excellence, taking inspiration from the best seasonal ingredients on offer, presenting bold flavour pairings that are delivered with a real sense of theatre.
This role incorporates a mix of stations across the kitchen, so the ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn kitchen duties and build their experience as a chef. Joining a small team, you will have the chance to learn and develop your chef skills.
The CDP will receive:
- A competitive salary package of up to £30-36,000 depending on experience - for a four day work week contract (lunch and dinner sittings Wednesday - Saturday)
- Sunday - Tuesday are set days off

The CDP will have:
- Experience as a CDP in a similar style of fine-dining venue preferred, ideally with Michelin star experience
- Minimum of one year’s experience
- Strong wine knowledge
- A great communicator with a dynamic approach
- Impeccable standards with a passion for developing and creating dishes with the best fresh, and seasonal produce
- Someone creative, interested in a new style of dining
- A warm and friendly personality, with a flair for recognising and exceeding guest expectations
- A desire to learn and work hard
- The ability to commute to London Fields
- Right to work in the UK, and good spoken English is required
Key responsibilities
- Assisting the chefs with daily food preparation
- Working with the Head and Sous Chefs to run sections/be responsible for dishes
- Working closely with the small team of chefs, understanding the produce and where it is from
- Serving and explaining dishes to guests
