Applied Vibration Ltd, leading manufacturers of industrial vibration equipment for feeding, conveying and screening of bulk materials has an opening for a Design Engineer / 2D/ 3D CAD Draughtsperson to join the company based in Tamworth.
The position is offered on a permanent basis and with 4 - day a week working
Monday to Thursday with the working day starting at 8.00am finishing at 4.00pm.
Responsibilities:
Create high quality 2D and 3D CAD Models and engineering drawings to project timelines (an understanding of heavy duty metal fabrications, laser cutting, presswork and welding would be an advantage.
Apply engineering judgement and problem solving skills to produce efficient and practical design solutions and support project from initial concept through to manufacturing and delivery. Liaise with suppliers regarding technical specifications, materials and manufacturing processes. Ordering of specialist manufactured, machined and fabricated parts to drawings produced.
Generate clear manufacturing instructions and technical documentation, manage drawing workflows and prioritise to meet deadlines.
Collaborate closely with sales and technical team to ensure designs meet the correct design parameters and align with intended process requirements.
Production of manufacturing specifications, assembly instructions and operating instructions for some of the specialised and bespoke equipment that we produce.

Experience in 3D CAD Software (Solidworks preferred or similar)
Experience in 2D CAD Software ( Draftsite or equivalent)
Experience of producing and interpreting a wide range of technical drawings and specifications.
A practicle mindset with a creative hands on approach to design challenges.
A desire to learn, improve and develop professionally within this role and to work collaboratively and effectively with our current design engineers.
Familiarity of manufacturing processes and materials
Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of both technical and non-technical staff across a wide range of industry.
Pay: £30,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
