Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Head Chef/Kitchen Manager . The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and exceptional service, maintain a high level of hygiene & food safety. This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and a passion for culinary excellence. The Head Chef/Kitchen Manager will be responsible for managing food production, maintaining the kitchen to an exceptional standard, ensuring the team have an a positive environment to work in and be a crucial part of running a successful business.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking processes
- Oversee food production to meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Develop menus in collaboration with management, incorporating innovative dishes while maintaining cost efficiency
- Ensure compliance (and above) with all food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling waste to optimise kitchen efficiency
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment in accordance with health and safety policies
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to lead and inspire staff
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Previous experience in food production and restaurant operations is essential
- Excellent leadership qualities combined with organisational skills
- Strong understanding of hospitality service standards, including serving practices
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences and fostering a positive team culture
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
