Responsibilities

- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools
- Perform repairs involving welding, assembly, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment or systems
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical faults and implement effective solutions promptly
- Carry out heavy lifting tasks safely as part of maintenance or repair activities
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with colleagues and clients regarding repair status or technical issues
Requirements
- Proven experience in mechanical repair, maintenance, or related fields
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, and assembly processes
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in physically demanding environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Customer service orientation with clear communication skills
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or related disciplines are desirable but not essential
